Milbank Highlights American Manufacturing Legacy and Workforce During Kansas City Visit
Earlier this month, that legacy was showcased on a national stage as Milbank welcomed Vice President JD Vance and guests to our Kansas City manufacturing facility for a visit centered around American workers, domestic manufacturing and the future of U.S. industry.
As a family-owned manufacturer founded in 1927, Milbank was proud to highlight the people, products and processes that have defined the company for generations. The visit provided an opportunity to showcase not only Milbank’s manufacturing capabilities, but also the hardworking employees behind the products trusted across the electrical industry every day.
“For nearly 100 years, Milbank has proudly represented American manufacturing and the skilled union workforce that powers our company,” said Brad Skinner, CEO of Milbank. “Hosting Vice President JD Vance was a meaningful opportunity to showcase the people and values that have defined Milbank for generations.”
Throughout its history, Milbank has continued to evolve alongside the changing needs of the country. From supporting infrastructure growth through decades of expansion to navigating historic challenges including World War II, economic shifts, supply chain disruptions and the COVID-19 pandemic, Milbank has remained committed to building reliable products in the United States while investing in the people and communities that make that work possible.
Today, that commitment continues through ongoing investments in manufacturing operations, engineering capabilities, workforce development and next-generation power distribution solutions. As demand grows for electrification, grid modernization and domestic infrastructure support, American manufacturers continue to play a critical role in powering the future.
Milbank is also proud to be recognized as a union manufacturer, employing hundreds of skilled individuals whose dedication, craftsmanship and expertise continue to drive the company forward. During the visit, employees had the opportunity to showcase the pride they take in their work and the impact American manufacturing continues to have both locally and nationally.
“As Milbank approaches 100 years, we remain focused on the future, investing in our people, strengthening our capabilities and continuing to support American manufacturing,” said Chris Buelow, President of Milbank. “This visit highlighted the dedication of our employees and the momentum we are building for the next generation.”
From its Kansas City roots to facilities serving customers across the country, Milbank remains committed to the values it was built on nearly a century ago: quality, reliability, innovation and the hardworking people behind every product.
